A Call To Pray For Others
The evil in this world is trying to keep you wrapped up in your own despair so that you won't pray for others. That's how powerful your prayers are.
When you're in despair it's difficult to see results until the very moment before calamity strikes, because at that point surrender and peace take hold of the child of God and the mind and heart are in sync.
But when we pray from a distance, far removed from sorrow, we can easily pray in peace and faith in Jesus Christ's name.
So let us set aside our own pain, and pray for other's in authority and power... Trusting that God Himself dwells in us and speaks His Word through us!
"Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5 :13-16
Pray for the prisoners! Proclaim the year of the Lord's favor!
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19
